Marketplace · Two-sided platform · MVP
A delivery marketplace built on trips that are already happening.
Senders post a task. Bringers already travelling that route deliver it. Cashless, insured, and lighter on the planet than a dedicated courier run.

Courier delivery is expensive because someone drives a vehicle specifically to move your parcel. But at any moment thousands of people are already making that exact trip — by car, train, bike or on foot — with spare capacity going to waste. The problem is trust: how do you hand a stranger your parcel and be confident it arrives, gets paid for fairly, and nobody is out of pocket if it goes wrong?
What we built
A two-sided marketplace MVP with a full six-step delivery lifecycle — post a task, receive offers from travellers on the route, accept, pickup, deliver, confirm — and the trust machinery that makes strangers willing to use it.
- Two distinct sides — Senders and Bringers — with tailored flows for each
- Task posting: item, size, pickup/drop-off, date, and sender-set price
- Offer and matching system — Bringers already heading that way bid on tasks
- In-app chat to agree details before committing
- Escrow payment — the card is only charged once delivery is confirmed, funds release after
- A $500 per-item guarantee for anything sent fully on-platform
- 24-hour confirmation window with automatic fund release
The interesting part
The engineering that matters here is escrow and state, not the listings. A delivery passes through six states — posted, offered, accepted, in-transit, delivered, confirmed — and money must move at exactly one of them and never before. Charge too early and you take money for an undelivered parcel; release too early and the Bringer is unpaid or the Sender is unprotected. Every edge case (a Bringer who accepts then vanishes, a Sender who never confirms, a disputed handover) is a place where real money is at stake. Getting that state machine right — and provably right — is the whole product. The marketplace is just the wrapper.
